Complex cases: kinetotherapy and P-DTR, in Cluj

Has it hurt for years, in several places, and you've already tried almost everything?

I look for the puzzle pieces in your body and we put them together. Then we work with P-DTR and kinetotherapy, in a programme.

Complicated or complex?

It doesn't matter how complicated a case is, but how complex it is.

Meaning: complicated means hard to understand. Complex means many pieces that connect to each other.

A complex case looks something like this:

Why old pain doesn't go away

Pain is only an EFFECT. The cause is almost always an old trauma.

The central nervous system uses muscles like tools. It decides which ones work and which ones rest. And what makes it decide is trauma: a sprain, a fall, an operation, a blow to the head as a child. It doesn't matter if it was 5, 15 or 30 years ago.

The body doesn't forget. It remembers the place that got hurt and wants to protect it.

When there are several moments like this in your life, the pieces add up. A protected spot here, a compensation there. That's why a complex case isn't solved by treating only the place that hurts today.

People who've been here wrote themselves where their pain came from:

“The pain came from some muscle imbalances caused by a very bad sprain and a fall onto my backside from a great height.”

Ștefan, more than 5 years of back pain

“I was really amazed to see where the pain had started: an ingrown toenail operation on my foot, back in childhood!”

Maria, lumbar disc herniation

“We managed to trace all my problems back to two key moments in childhood: when I hit my head badly at around age 6, and later, when I jumped down 5 steps at school and sprained my ankle.”

How I work on a complex case

1

Biomechanical assessment

About an hour. I ask what hurts, when it hurts, since when. Then what other pain you've had over your life, chronic or acute. The last question brings the gold: your injury history.

2

I test

The big muscles that link the lower body to the upper body. Which ones are weak, which ones are normal, which ones are tense.

I test. I do NOT guess.

3

P-DTR, at the start

The first therapy sessions treat as many as possible of the places the body is still protecting.

4

Kinetotherapy

This is where we bring out what still bothers you. Why it still hurts, in which movement, in which position, in which exercise. And at the next therapy session I treat exactly what came up.

Nothing is standardised. Sometimes we do one kinetotherapy session between therapy sessions, sometimes three.

“It's like taking a stick and poking a wasps' nest, to see if there are still wasps inside.”

How long a complex case takes

A programme lasts about a month and a half to two months. Nothing is rushed.

In some situations two or three programmes are needed, meaning about a year. I have a client with a 12 millimetre herniation who did three big programmes before it fully cleared.

I can't tell you in advance whether a programme will solve the situation fully or only partly. That's why we retest at around two months: so you see the progress and I know what to change.

And one more thing.

If I see at the assessment that it's a complex case, I won't sell you the small programme. I could say it can be done. Only, after four therapy sessions and six kinetotherapy sessions, we'd both see more is needed. And you'd be right to say: “you said it could be done and it can't”.

What people say (reviews translated from Romanian)

“For more than 5 years I had been dealing with back pain almost constantly. […] I went to countless specialists who applied various therapies, which worked in the moment, but the pain came back after 2-3 weeks at most. […] I wrote this review 3 months after finishing the treatment and I haven't had any pain at all since.”

Ștefan, after more than 20 specialists

“The pain in my shoulders felt like a stone, it kept me from normal physical activity, it always came back after a while, and for years I thought that was normal. […] I tried everything, massage, creams, stretching.”

Anca

I don't promise anyone the same result. It depends on the situation. That's why we test.

What it costs

  • The first step: the biomechanical assessment 200 RON

About an hour. This is where we find out how many pieces your case has. The assessment is paid separately from the programme.

  • Extended Programme 4.500 RON

6 P-DTR sessions, 10 kinetotherapy sessions and weekly check-ins. It can be paid in two instalments of 2.250 RON.

  • Intensive Recovery 8.100 RON

10 P-DTR sessions, 20 kinetotherapy sessions, a 3-month nutrition plan, weekly check-ins and reassessments all the way through. 2.700 RON per month, for 3 months.

We choose the programme together, after the assessment. I guide you and suggest options, and you choose.

“Given how much I paid before I got to Radu, the price I paid for those 2 months of treatment is too little, from my point of view.”

Ștefan

We don't work with the Romanian public health insurance (CNAS), so referral notes can't be used here.

What I don't treat

P-DTR doesn't treat:

Questions about complex cases

I've been to many specialists. Why would it work now?

I can't promise you it will work. I can tell you where I start: from your body's story, with all its injuries, and I test before I treat. Ștefan came after more than 20 specialists.

What does a fall from 20 years ago have to do with the pain I have today?

Someone comes in with back pain. At age 10, a fall off the bike: a split chin, a tooth knocked out. I test a big muscle at the hip. It's weak. I touch the chin. The muscle contracts at full strength. Like a light switch.

The body still remembered the fall from age 10. And it was “switching off” the muscle that was supposed to hold the back.

Can I try just one session?

You can, there's a single P-DTR session too, at 600 RON. But in a complex case, one session on its own can't know everything that needs treating. That's why I work in programmes.

I live in another city. Is it worth the trip?

People have come from Reghin, Târgu Mureș, Sibiu and Oradea. The harder something is to get, the more you want it.

Every body has a story. Let's see what yours has to tell us.
